Why Give to ACDS?
Since Aylett’s founding in 1966, we have relied on parents, alumni, friends and foundations to ensure the highest quality of program for our students and to help offset the costs associated with an independent school education.
The Annual Fund is the heart of our annual fundraising program. It is a vital source of revenue that ensures the excellence of an Aylett Country Day School education. Each gift directly impacts the quality of the Aylett experience. This cannot be done through tuition alone. The unrestricted dollars allow the School to address areas of need and continue to provide the resources needed to uphold Aylett’s mission.
- Supporting Operations: Annual giving provides essential funds to support the day-to-day operations of the school, including salaries for teachers and staff, maintenance of facilities, classroom materials, technology upgrades, and utilities.
- Enriching Programs: Donations can enhance academic programs, extracurricular activities, arts, sports, and other initiatives that enrich the educational experience for Aylett students.
- Financial Aid: Some donors designate their gifts to support financial aid to ensure qualified students have access to an Aylett education regardless of their financial circumstances. This helps promote diversity and inclusivity within the ACDS community.
- Faculty Development: Annual giving can support professional development opportunities for teachers, including workshops and conferences.
- Facilities Improvement: Donations might go towards renovations, expansions, or upgrades to school facilities, creating a more conducive environment for learning and extracurricular activities.
- Technology Upgrades: As technology continues to play a significant role in education, annual giving can fund upgrades to classroom technology, software licenses, and digital learning resources, ensuring that students have access to the latest tools and resources.
Aylett Country Day School’s Annual Giving fund is essential for sustaining and enhancing the quality of education provided to students, supporting the school’s mission, and fostering a strong sense of community among stakeholders.
